I didn't find this mineral graphite nose on the '12 during primeur, and I hope it will show up as this is one of the things that make this stand out amongst so many "just fruity" Saint-Emilion’s. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, rich, dark berries and spices, the barrels are a bit up front at this stage, long finish. 91

2010 Château Villemaurine

OCT 12 Deep ruby. Rich, intense, but also more nuanced nose. Blueberries, cinnamon, vanilla, violets and spices. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, sweet fruit attack, seems to lack the playfulness of the vintage, very long and intense. 92
