NOV 11 Ruby, ruby rim, sweet plums, vanilla, oak. Fresh acidity, leaner body, slightly rough texture, good length. Then coming back to it later on, way more elegant, more together, roughness has disappeared, longer. 92

JUL 16 Ruby with brick rim. Scented, red berries, violets, elegant nose, some cherries, figs and faint tobacco notes, touch of chocolate and minerals. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, lively, elegant, definitely not the most intense Evangile, not the most opulent, on the other side properly elegant and just lovely. Long. 93

SEP 12 In the neck fill. Bright ruby, cheese and hung meat, animal notes. Floral and dark berries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant but lacks complexity, feels straightforward and a bit all over the place. 90

1962 Château L'Evangile

SEP 12 Château bottled, bottom neck fill. Garnet with brick rim. Fruity nose, blueberries and some figs, perfumed, flirting and very seductive. Fresh acidity, tannins few and far between, superb balance, slightly lean palate but long and refreshing. 93

JAN 18 Mid shoulder fill. Cherries, figs, dates, leaner nose, earthy. Fresh acidity, few tannins, some red berries, light, fresh, elegant texture, not that complex, smooth texture, long. 90

MAR 13 Schröder & Schyler bottling. Top shoulder fill. Cork was easily pushed into the bottle. Ruby with garnet rim. Plums, figs and dust. Fresh acidity, tannins gone, lean and tired.
