SEP 18 One and a half hours in decanter. Ruby, garnet rim. Scented, red berries, figs, dates, some spices, some coffee nose. Coffee blows off with air, getting more leather and almost a faint mineral note nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, some anise, spices, nuanced, quite tight and firm, long. 94

2005 Château Hosanna
JUN 15 Deepish ruby. Dark fruits, some vanilla, blueberries, some chocolate, tight yet intense nose. Blueberry jam, fairly fresh acidity, ripe tannins, woody and spicy but fruit seems to handle it, long and juicy finish if somewhat hollow, at least at this stage. Difficult one. 92-95
