APR 16 Ruby. Wood, spices, dark fruits nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, dark berries and spices. More up front wood notes than usual so may not be the best sample of this. 87-89

APR 14 Ruby. Scented, red berries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, lean, bit short. 85-87

NOV 15 48CS, 47M, 3CF 2 PV. Ruby. Lightly scented, cassis, some vanilla, spices nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark berries, some anise, fruity, good length. 89

JUN 13 Deep ruby. Fruity and scented nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, lively and elegant, good length. 89

FEB 13 (Magnum) Ruby. Cassis, bell peppers and vanilla. More open than last bottle, and more rounded. Give it an hour or two in decanter. 88

JAN 14 Ruby. Scented, fruity, cassis and some vanilla on the nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, refreshing, still a bit edgy finish, good length.
Needs two to five more years. 88

FEB 13 (Magnum) ruby. Vanilla, cassis and blueberries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, balanced and nice fruit, good length. 89

2006 Château de Pez
OCT 12  Ruby, vanilla up front over cassis and leather. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, almost raw at this stage, needs time. Good length. Either decant it for two hours or put it in the cellar for five to fifteen. 87

1989 Château de Pez
JAN 10  Ruby, garnet rim. Cassis, blackberries, some earthy notes and maybe a slightly off bottle. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, a bit plump fruit, figs, lacks nuances. 85
