sediment. A/B level fill. The nose climbs out of the glass, red plums,
raspberries, cassis, some cigars, bell peppers, liquorice, elegant and quite
seductive nose. Some well hung game and autumn leaves. Soft attack, fresh
acidity, mature tannins, almost gone, acidity really refreshes the palate, a
bit thin and lean body, but a great aftertaste and length. Really
impressive second wine. 87

intense, blueberries, this bottle would last another 10, maybe 15 years, long
finish. Wine was served blind; I thought it was an 88 Las Casses. 93

and a thin brick outer rim. A nose that would turn Piemonte hipsters into
Claret lovers. Ever so slightly volatile with perfumed notes and cherry stones,
licorice and some floral high notes. Rose hips rather than roses. High and thin
acidity, tannins more or less gone, refreshing and fairly lean body, touch of
coffee and again cherries. Transparent and the acidity vibrate throughout the
taste curve. Acidity tend to keep on even after the flavours have stopped, very
similar to older Nebbiolo. Ads a bit of weight with air. This one blind and I
would not have been in Bordeaux at all. 87
