MAY 10 A/B level fill, soaked cork, bright ruby with thin orange rim. Mellow, very closed, a touch of blackcurrants, coffee beans, leather, with air much more complex, tobacco, prunes, red berries, cigars. Pure balance, so elegant, good acidity, some ripe tannins still, seems exceptional behind this curtain that it never comes out of, like when you see a (naked) person behind some curtains with light coming in from behind, you can't tell who, but you know if you like what you see......great length. 90

DEC 18 Ruby, brick rim. Earthy, some faint liquorice, prunes, tender nose, coffee notes, faint violets notes, very mature. Fresh acidity, no tannins left, sweet and sour, lighter bodied even if quite intense. Not the most complex, but somehow a bit intriguing. 90

SPRING 06 B level fill! Clear, Bright, towards deep ruby, orange rim. Has some VA, figs, prunes, raisins, very old, but very alive. Lots of acidity, still tannins, a bit dry, tar and roses, very old Barolo in the mouth, with more air (about 10 minutes) more chocolate, more intensity, morellos, coffee, fruit cake, dark and white chocolate, tannins feel softer with the more pronounced fruit, medium minus and ripe, acidity feels softer too, many minutes of aftertaste, a beauty! 96
