DEC 18 Ruby. Blueberries, peppery notes, spices and herbal notes nose, lighter. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, leaner, cool fruity body and intensity, herbal, some pencil shavings and blueberries notes, drink over the next five years or so, but too lean for some. 87

2003 Château Malescasse
DEC 17 Ruby, thin brick rim. Anise, figs, cassis, dates, some spices, maturing nose. Some minty notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, minerals, figs, dates, some cassis and leather, remarkable how elegantly fresh some of these 2003's has become after their jammy youth. Long. My best bottle of this so far. 90

MAY 17 Ruby. Red berries, cassis, leather and figs nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, red berries, some anise and spices, leaner finish, good length. Nothing like the last two bottles. 87

NOV 11 (Double Magnum) Ruby, blackcurrant's, still some vanilla, herbs and tobacco. Good acidity, somewhat rough tannins and structure, has it got the fruit to manage for the future?
