APR 10 (Barrel sample) Bright ruby, closed, dark fruits and vanilla, beautiful texture, good acidity and ripe tannins, dark fruits, liquorice, good length. A bit too closed for a real assessment, so best guess is 83-85?
MAY 12 Pale golden, citrus, minerals, vanilla, touch of flint. Fresh acidity, balanced, easygoing and enjoyable after many white Burgundies lately, more balanced, together, lovely white Bordeaux. 87
MAR 12 Pale lemon yellow. Fresh nose of lemons, grapefruit, minerals, oysters and a touch of asparagus. Fresh acidity, lively and elegant, towards creamy texture, quite long. 89
AUG 12 Dark ruby. When opened, raw, brutal and in teenage wrath. Ungainly and difficult to enjoy. The next day, it settled down, just a bit of the vintage herbs, cool feel overshadowing the minerals, slightly unripe blackcurrant's. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, a bit hollow mid palate, good length. 86
