APR 19 Ruby. Woody, alcoholic and jammy nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, anise, dark fruity, jammy. Lots of wood. 85-87

2017 Château Ferrand

APR 18 Ruby. Woody, spice, toasty coffee nose. Lacks fruit to balance the wood completely. Dried out already. Avoid.

APR 17 Ruby. Fruity, dark berries, blueberries, spices, anise, rich nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, fruity, rounded, juicy, long. 89-91

2015 Château Ferrand

APR 16 Ruby. Dark fruits, some spices, blueberries and raspberries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, leaner, fruity, fresh. 84-86

2001 Château Ferrand

MAY 13 Ruby, garnet rim. Some liquorice, slightly dusty and plums nose. Freshish acidity, ripe tannins, OK fruit and body, fruit is starting to dry a bit in the finish. 83

1998 Château Ferrand

OCT 11 Ruby, brick rim. Some figs, earthy, plummy nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, leaner fruit and body but fairly charming quaffer. 85
