Saint-Emilion

In 2011 Domaines Clarence Dillon bought Tertre Daugay and renamed it Quintus after the fifth child. In 2013 neighbouring L’Arrosée was bought and incorporated into the estate.

2018 Château Quintus

MAR 19 Ruby. Blueberries, scented, layered, nuanced, intense, some minerals, floral nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, anise, blueberries, some spices, layered, detailed, spicy, juicy, refreshing and elegant even if rich. This is finding itself more and more with an ever clearer identity. Bit of warmth (15,2). Alcohol is on the high side but the flavour profile and acidity keeps it in balance. At least at this point. 93-95

Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, anise, blackberries, fruity, juicy, structured behind, long. 14,45 alcohol. Bit of warmth in the finish. The wine is getting more detailed but is still not perfectly balanced between alcohol and concentration. 93-95
