2020 Château Mouton Rothschild 

MAY 21 Ruby. Fruit driven, cassis, anise, some spices nose, blackberries, intensely scented, almost transparent yet such depth. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, smooth and detailed, layered, anise, liquorice, deep, long. Superb freshness to it. Such energy. Pauillac is not the place that shines the most in 2020, but this one does. 97-99

APR 21 Ruby. Scented, red fruits, anise, blackberries and spices, floral, violets, detailed nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, cassis, structured, touch of liquorice and raspberries, long finish. A very fine Pédesclaux. 92-94

2020 Château Pibran

APR 21 55M 45CS Ruby. Blackberries and blueberries nose, fruit driven with just a light vanilla and spicy touch. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, juicy, dark fruits, anise, blackberries and blueberries, fruit driven with texture, ever more precise Pibran, long finish. 50% in new wood. 90-92

2020 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron

APR 21 76CS 24M Ruby. Cassis, blackberries, fruit driven, scented, vanilla, spices, layered nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, detailed, some coffee notes, intense and layered, deep, and very long finish. About 70% new wood, rest has been used for one vintage and Pichon Baron is about 48% of the yield. 97-99

APR 21 50M 42CS 8PV. Ruby. Blueberries, spices, blackberries and cassis nose, some vanilla. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, spices, blueberries, a bit peppery, detailed and long. 50% new wood, rest is used for one vintage. About 25% of the yield. 92-94

2020 Les Tourelles de Longueville 

APR 21 64M 29CS 7CF. Ruby. Blackberries, anise, blueberries, fruit driven nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blueberries, cassis, Cabernet Sauvignon sticks its head out at this stage, structured, firm, long finish. 30% new wood and rest in one vintage old barrels. About 27% of the yield of the vinyeards. 90-92

2020 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande

MAY 21 77CS 17M 6CF Ruby. Cassis, fruit driven, blackberries, deep, vanilla, spices, intense and layered nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, spices, liquorice, cassis, detailed, layered, firm and long. Maybe not the most seductive Comtesse made, but impressive, for sure. A masculine version. 97-99
