A few 2023 Bordeaux's more tasted!

During my recent visit in Bordeaux with a wine club, a few 2023´s I didn't taste during the primeurs turned up. Here they are!

2023 Roc de Candale

Ruby. Blackberries, anise, dark fruits, liquorice, fruit forward nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, spices, liquorice, good length. 87-89

 

2023 Château de Candale

Ruby. Dark fruits, blueberries, fruit forward, detailed, some spices nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, spices, liquorice, firmer, long. 89-91

 

2023 Reserve des Jacobins

Ruby. Scented, red and dark fruits, nose, blackberries, nuanced nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, spices, juicy, elegant texture, good length. 88-90

 

2023 Château Siaurac

Ruby. Scented, raspberries, blackberries, dark fruits, liquorice nose, nuanced. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, blueberries, fruit forward, elegant texture, good length. Lovely Siaurac. 88-90

 

2023 Château Clos Beausejour

Ruby. 0,1 hectare in production, 0,4 hectares replanted, so entire estate is 0,5 hectares.Some 800 bottles made. Blueberries, anise, fruit driven, nuanced nose, scented, scented nose, detailed, floral. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, dark fruits, elegant, detailed, aged 100% in amphora, refreshing and fruit forward, long finish. 91-93

 

2023 Château Moya

Ruby. Scented, red berries, floral, fruit forward nose, elegant, blackberries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, dark fruits, anise, juicy, elegant texture, good length. Purest and finest Moya I have tasted. With a good margin at that. So charming, even seductive. 90-92

 

2023 Château du Parc

Ruby. Blackberries, dark fruits, anise, spices, liquorice, fruit forward nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, spices, juicy, nuanced, fruit forward, more concentration than any vintage before for me, more depth. And in Château du Parc, that is a good thing. 88-90

 

2023 Château Gaby

Ruby. Floral, deep nose of blackberries, blueberries, detailed, nuanced and scented nose, layered. Has a depth and finesse to the nose I have never seen before, more pixels. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, detailed, nuanced, elegant, refined, detailed, minerals, crunchy blackberries, juicy, saline touch, minerals. The finest Gaby ever made in my book. 92-94

 

2023 Confidence de Bastor-Lamontagne

Pale lemon yellow. Apples, some citrus, grapefruits nose. Fresh acidity, grapefruits, citrus, apples and pears, touch bitter finish that gives it more grip. 87-89

 

2023 Château Nairac

Golden. Quite intense nose of exotic spices, nectarines, apricots and grilled pineapples. Fresh acidity, pineapples, peach, lighter bodied, elegant, refreshing, some exotic spices, long finish. 92-94
