JUL 19 Ruby, garnet rim. Dates, figs, tobacco, more chocolate and even minerals with air, elegant nose even if mature for its age. Fresh acidity, maybe due to the fairly light body for the vintage, smooth tannins, elegant texture, quite charming, long finish. 91

APR 19 Ruby, garnet rim. Scented, dates, floral, figs, chocolate, minerals, nuanced, some tobacco, cigars, smells of a graceful Saint-Emilion. But the palate is a bit lean and ungainly, even thin. 88

SEP 15 In neck fill. Ruby, thin orange rim. Mature nose, some figs, prunes, light graphite minerality nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity and juicy if somewhat leaner, figs, raisins and prunes, long and quite refreshing. 93

1970 Château Beauséjour Duffau (Lagarosse)

APR 12 Ruby, orange rim. Earthy, figs (few), dusty, autumn leaves nose, lean and skinny palate, tired. Bottle had mid shoulder fill, so probably better ones out there.
