APR 21 Ruby. Rich nose, deep, cassis, blueberries, scented, violets, nuanced and detailed nose, layered, almost leaps out of the glass. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, juicy, deep, intense and layered, lovely balance, concentrated, long finish. 13,5% alcohol. 95-97


2020 Château Branaire-Ducru

APR 21 Ruby. Blueberries, cassis, anise, some vanilla and spices, layered and detailed nose, intense. Floral. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, raspberries and blackberries, liquorice nerve to it, detailed and layered, long finish, firm yet bright. 93-95


2020 Château la Bridane

APR 21 Ruby. Blackberries, cassis, fruit driven nose, floral and scented, detailed nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, spices, liquorice, structured, good length. 88-90


2020 Clos du Marquis

MAY 21 61CS 33M 6CF Ruby. Blackberries, anise, fruit driven, cassis, exotic spices, detailed more than scented nose. Getting ever more scented with air. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, spices, liquorice, nuanced and detailed, layered, long finish. Refined. 13,57% alcohol. 40% new wood. 93-95

MAY 21 Ruby. Blackberries, anise, fruit driven nose, some spices. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, some spices, juicy, good length. 88-90

APR 21 Ruby. Cassis, anise, fruit driven, scented and detailed nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, juicy, blackberries and cassis, structured finish, long. 90-92


2020 Château Lagrange

APR 21 Ruby. Intense, deep, floral, bright, cassis, blueberries, vanilla, spices, layered and nuanced nose. Highly scented, almost leaps out of the glass. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, spices, juicy, layered and detailed, total harmony between such pure elements, super balance, best ever Lagrange. 94-96


2020 Château Langoa Barton 

APR 21 Ruby. Cassis, blueberries, exotic spices, a richer and deeper nose for Langoa, layered, cinnamon and star anise. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dense, dark fruits, layered and deep, rich yet freshness, ling finish. 93-95


2020 Château Léoville Barton

APR 21 Ruby. Scented, deep, nuanced, anise, blackberries and spices nose, fruit driven and layered, intense. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, spices, liquorice, deep and layered, a fuller bodied Léoville Barton yet retains liveliness and vigour. Such length! 94-96


2020 Château Léoville Las Cases

MAY 21 81CF 11CF 8M Ruby. Cassis, anise, spices, blueberries, deep, layered and intense nose. Floral, violets notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, spices, liquorice, intense and deep, layered, velvety texture yet it has grip and structure behind it, such width and energy to it, stunning length. 13,68% alcohol, 80% new wood. 98-100


2020 Le PetitLion du Marquis de Las Cases

MAY 21 50CS 44M 6CF Ruby. Anise, fruit driven, cassis and blueberries nose, light vanilla note. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, spices, juicy, detailed, layered and intense, juicy, superb balance in this one, juicy, and probably the most serious Petit Lion to date. 13,61% alcohol and 30% new wood. 92-94


2020 Château Léoville Poyferré 

APR 21 Deep ruby. Blackberries, anise, blueberries and spices, deep, layered and intense nose. Almost compact. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, blackberries and spices, rich and deep, detailed, firm yet juicy, lush and long. 94-96


2020 Château Moulin de la Rose

MAY 21 Ruby. Dark fruits, anise, some spices, lighter nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, red and darker fruits, juicy, nuanced, elegant texture, good length. 88-90


2020 Château Saint-Pierre

APR 21 Ruby. Floral, violets, blackberries and cassis, detailed and nuanced nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, anise, juicy, structured, liquorice, refreshing red fruits, layered and deep. A superb Saint-Pierre, probably best ever made from here. 93-95


2020 Château Teynac

MAY 21 Ruby. Herbs, lighter nose, leaner. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, red fruits, anise, light but balanced. 86-88
