APR 18 Ruby. Blueberries, anise, floral, fruity, some spices, elegant nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, some spices, elegant, somewhat leaner mid palate but elegant and classic. 87-89

2016 Goulée

APR 17 Ruby. Scented, dark fruits, some coffee, cigars and tobacco nose, an exotic Goulée. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, blackberries, cassis, some red fruits, elegant. 90-92

2015 Goulée

APR 16 Ruby. Dark fruits, spices, minerals, blueberries nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, dark berries, some spices, good length. 89-91

2014 Goulée

APR 15 Deep ruby. Dark fruits, intense, some vanilla on the nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, detailed, fresh, fairly intense, quite chewy finish. 87-89

2013 Goulée

APR 14 Ruby. Fruity, scented, elegant and ripe raspberries nose, slightly floral. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, leaner, elegant, could be more complex, fresh, good length. 87-89

2006 Goulée

MAY 15 Ruby. Cassis, plums, starting figs, some spices, vanilla, not the most intense nose, but quite seductive. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, rounded, leaner palate, quite smooth and elegant.  My last bottle. 88

2006 Goulée

NOV 12 Deep ruby. Compact, fruit-driven cassis. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, the 06 roughness still there, needs a few years. Cos d'Estournel Project in Northern Médoc (Port de Goulée) 88

2005 Goulée

OCT 10 This wine comes from the team of Cos d'Estournel, from Port de Goulée in the north of Medoc, on soil they believe to be as good as the ones of the classed growths further south, and thus vinified as such. I do not know about the soil, but the wine is ruby, nose is lovely, paprika, blackcurrants, some cigar, slightly herbal, very elegant, complex, great balance, fresh acidity, ripe tannins, seductive for a wine of this price range, impressive, good length. 89

2005 Goulée

FEB 08 Ruby. Dark berries, anise, spices, vanilla nose. Fresh acidity, ripe and soft tannins, rounded texture, fruity, good length. 89
